THE SEVENTH BROADSKY WORKSHOP Is Space Safe Enough? The focus of this workshop will be the intractable escalating problems of space debris. With the increasing number of satellites in orbit, the amount of in-orbit debris is approaching a level where collisions could become regular events that can be not only highly damaging to the satellite with economic, insurance and service delivery consequences, but also catalyze further collisions by producing more debris. At this workshop, we will discuss ongoing and future space activities, with a view to identifying technologies that can contribute to counteracting the rising menace of space debris. The Workshop is organized by NICT - National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Japan
