The availability of inexpensive terrestrial communications has not diminished the key role of satellites, from broadcasting, to two way communications to un-served and underserved areas around the globe, to serving in key military and civil applications.
Satellites have also become indispensable tools for global positioning and navigation, for earth observation, for space exploration, and to conduct experiments in living beyond the confines of our planet.
Improving on the above capabilities and providing new services to mankind are some of the challenges the satellite community must face.
The objective of this Joint Conference is to provide an in depth exploration of the technical, regulatory, economic, and marketing issues we must face to meet the above challenges.
